Why Maryland?
I moved to Maryland for fourth grade when my father came to teach at Johns Hopkins University. Many of the girls I met in the fourth grade at the Roland Park Country School remain friends today. I attended Johns Hopkins University and have found many doors in Maryland opened to me as a result, both in my professional and personal life. My first house was in Oakenshawe, literally a stone’s throw from the undergraduate campus. My kids played on the campus lawns on weekends, only a couple years after I had myself played Frisbee on them as an undergraduate! My RPCS and Johns Hopkins lives have intersected as high school friends worked with college friends. Then my daughter went to Johns Hopkins. My son now works at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
