Johns Hopkins University- Office of Institutional Equity

Oana Brooks handles civil rights investigations focusing on sexual misconduct affecting students, staff and faculty at The Johns Hopkins University. She also investigates claims of employment discrimination.

Brooks joined Hopkins in March 2015 after more than seven years as a Baltimore city prosecutor, including chief of the juvenile division.

A native of Romania who came to the United States at age 11, Brooks is scheduled to become president-elect of the Junior League of Baltimore for the 2016-2017 year.
