A consummate professional, Sonja Cox has a gift of handling myriad issues with a sense of leadership and drive that sets an example for all employees at SMECO. In addition to her duties as the point person on all fiscal/rate matters for the co-op, Cox is also responsible for the human resources department of the 500-employee organization.

She is a graduate of Leadership Maryland, has served as chair of the Calvert County Chamber of Commerce and mentors a number of students as an adjunct professor with the College of Southern Maryland.
