Dr. Marylou Yam

Dr. Marylou Yam started her career as a nurse and then a nursing instructor and counts her research on intimate partner violence to be one of her most significant accomplishments.
At St. Peter’s University in New Jersey, she served as a professor and then associate dean of nursing before becoming provost and vice president. Since 2014, she has served as president of Notre Dame of Maryland University.
Yam serves on the Maryland Commission for Women and on the board for the Knott Scholarship Foundation.
