[The] celebration was fantastic! It was inspiring and so well-orchestrated. I am truly humbled and honored to be in the company of so many talented and accomplished women. ….It came off without a hitch and I am so grateful to everyone involved.

I’d like to sincerely thank The Daily Record for what you have done for me. This scholarship really helps me not only pay for college, but do things sooner after I graduate like buy my own car and move out since I’ll owe less in loans. In addition to helping me financially, the award opened up so many doors for me. I received an internship/job opportunity from one of the Top 100 Women in attendance. I also got to meet so many inspiring women, that I hope to be like one day. I’m still pinching myself because the entire experience felt like a dream.

This award and scholarship has inspired me to work even harder toward giving back and becoming a great leader. Thank you so much.

I’m extremely impressed with how you and the other staff members were able to deliver such an amazing event. With such limited time, the level of detail and logistical ease you all put into the event was absolutely outstanding. With much gratitude, I thank the Daily Record for such an honor and a spectacular evening.

It was a lovely event and I was very honored to receive the award. I was impressed with the outstanding women from throughout Maryland and their innovative and often tireless activities. Wonderful to celebrate. Thank you for hosting such a well-organized and beautiful event, and celebrating the women who make our community strong.

It’s a pleasure for Peninsula Regional Medical Center to partner with The Daily Record and sponsor their recognition programs including Top 100 Women, Most Admired CEO and Influential Marylanders. All provide us a unique statewide opportunity to recognize a very talented leadership team at PRMC that is committed to advancing healthcare in Maryland. Suzanne Fischer-Huettner and her Daily Record staff can always be counted on to throw an amazing party and to provide each honoree with an experience that will last a lifetime.

Roger A. Follebout, Jr., Community Relations Director, Peninsula Regional Medical Center

Excellent evening start to finish. Thank you to The Daily Record for honoring and supporting the work of women in Maryland. It takes an immense amount of work. We all appreciate it. I am honored to be in the company of these remarkable women.

Giving the scholarship to future leaders makes it all even more special.

This event, Maryland’s Top 100 Women, is like the GOLDEN TICKET from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Everyone wants to attend!

Lynette M. Jones, Data Solutions & Technology Incorporated

Thank you so much for a lovely evening! It was a pleasure to meet you and other members of the Daily Record staff.

As a first time awardee, I had no idea what to expect, but  from the very first moment I received notification of the award, this entire experience has been outstanding. I very much appreciated the fact that we were given information about everything, from where to park, how to dress, where to sit, etc. The reception was very nice. The food I tasted was good, the service was excellent, and the event itself was well organized and well run. Who could not appreciate the honor of being on the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall stage? It was humbling and overwhelming!

The only regret I have is my entry in the publication and that is of my own doing. I wish I had done a better job elaborating for the reader. I am proud of my accomplishments, but to speak or write about them publically still feels to me like self glorification. It is the same problem I have every four years when I have to run for election! Hard to believe, I know, but it is true!

Seriously, thank you so much for The Daily Record’s continued commitment to finding and recognizing women leaders in Maryland. I enjoy all of your special publications, but I particularly appreciate the fact that you also take the time to specifically recognize women of achievement. There are so many women sacrificing their time and efforts to make Maryland a better place for others to live and work. While so much of what is shared today is bad news, your dedication to also publishing the good news by acknowledging. printing and highlighting  the accomplishments and contributions of these professional women is  truly commendable.

It is truly an honor to be part of this fine group of successful and talented women.  I will cherish the memory of this event forever.

Kathy P. Smith, Calvert County Clerk of Circuit Court (Top 100 Women Winner)

Thanks to you and your colleagues at The Daily Record for honoring me last week as one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women. It was quite special to be included among this group of accomplished women who have made such significant contributions to the community.

You and your staff are to be congratulated on your professional presentations and well organized, seamless event. It was a lovely evening, which I will always remember. I have already found a place of honor from which to display your handsome framed award. Thank you again.

Margaret Conn Himelfarb, MPH, Chairwoman, Maryland Stem Cell Research Commission (Top 100 Women Winner)

I can’t begin to tell you how EXCITED I am about being named one of the 2012 Maryland’s Top 100 Women!!!! Thank you so much!!! I’ve been crowing the news to anyone who’ll listen. And you can’t believe (well, I bet you actually can) how many people have called/emailed/texted their congratulations, too.

This is truly one of the greatest honors and I’m not only thrilled, I’m humbled by it. You know how important mentoring is, as well as setting good examples to our daughters and other young women. This honor really calls attention to its importance in our lives and how it contributes to success, both personal and professional. Being named a Top 100 Woman by The Daily Record is amazingly special and I can’t thank you enough for your encouragement and support.

My initial 2007 Top 100 Women made a big difference in my career. It was like I achieved a higher level just due to the recognition of The Daily Record. Quite cool!

Take care and thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

Gayle Economos (Top 100 Women Winner)

It was awesome. As a 64-year-old woman, I actually got misty eyed as the honorees were announced and came to the stage. I commented to my family that when I was my niece’s age (early 2′s) that event would have seemed remote if not impossible. Especially considering that we were just 100 of thousands or millions of women who could be considered for this honor. I recognize how far we women have come. Thank you for what you are doing.

Lorene Lake (Top 100 Women Winner)

I have been floating on a cloud all week. I can’t begin to tell you how honored I feel with this award. I also never realized before how far reaching your list and visibility are – I have been getting congratulations from so many different groups. This is truly extraordinary! Thank you again!

Women Who Lead

(formerly Path to Excellence)

It was a pleasure meeting you at the Path to Excellence networking event last week. I was honored to be in the presence of so many wonderful women and to learn about the extraordinary work your organization is doing in the lives of others. My attendance resulted in me networking with professionals who can support me in the mission of my Outreach Center. I am looking forward to attending future activities. Thanks to you and your team for coordinating such a memorable event!

Pamela D. Caple, Executive Director, Friendship Outreach Center, Inc.

Thank you so very much for inviting my Professional Fellow, Semra Caglar, and me in the TDR Women reception earlier this week.  It was a lovely event, so well attended by many very interesting people.  There were wonderful opportunities for networking and the food was delicious. It will surely be one of the highlights of Semra’s visit to the U.S.

Judith Vaughan-Prather, Executive Director, Maryland Commission for Women

Many thanks to you and your staff for a successful networking event at the Hyatt last night. It was wonderful to have so many accomplished women in the same room working to better our greater community. It is always a pleasure to work with The Daily Record and appreciate all that you do, each and every day.
