Own Your Story to Own Your Power
A workshop presented by MaryBeth Hyland, Spark Vision

Whether you’re applying for The Daily Record’s awards, a new job or simply introducing yourself, this interactive workshop will guide you to own your story in order to fully own your power. Many of us struggle with impostor syndrome, fear of not being accepted, and making ourselves smaller to make others comfortable. And most of the time, that’s because we’re looking to fit in and be humble instead of embracing what makes us unique. This 90-minute session will teach you how to own your authentic story and accomplishments so you can own your superpowers in all aspects of life.

Participants will:

  • Understand what’s holding them back so they can fully embrace their story
  • Gain practical tools on how to craft and share their greatest accomplishments
  • Practice and receive guidance on how to speak from their truth
  • Leave with a greater sense of authenticity, pride, and power when they speak or write about themselves

MaryBeth Hyland’s Biography

MaryBeth Hyland is the youngest and fastest inductee to The Daily Record’s Circle of Excellence. Knowing how rigorous the vetting process is and the powerful women who came before her, she was elated when she won Top 100 Women in 2015, 2017, and 2019. Stepping out on her own 5 years ago to build her company, SparkVision, she knows her success is rooted in her ability to ignite meaningful connections through powerful storytelling. On a mission to create environments where people thrive, she now works with individuals and organizations to know, own, and live their values every day.
