James M. White v. Janice Woolard

Custody: Dismissal of petition: Request for hearing

CSA No. 0473, Sept. Term 2013. Unreported.

Opinion by Meredith, J. Filed March 27, 2014.

Appeal from Baltimore City. Affirmed.

RecordFax #14-0327-04, 8 pages.

Although dismissing a child custody petition is not a determination that requires a hearing under Family Law §9.5-205, it is a dispositive motion for which a hearing must be held on request under Rule 2-311(f); however, the appellant in this case failed to show that the lack of a hearing was anything but harmless error.
