After earning a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Haverford College and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, Diane Leigh Davison built a boutique practice in Baltimore devoted to intellectual property, entertainment law and corporate matters.

She founded the Law Office of Diane Leigh Davison in 1993 and holds admissions to the Maryland Bar, Federal Bar and U.S. Supreme Court. Davison originated the first entertainment law course at a Maryland law school, teaching at the University of Baltimore School of Law from 1996 to 2004. She also serves on the board of the Vocal Group Hall of Fame Foundation.

Before founding the Law Firm of Andrea Hence Evans LLC., a career inside the United States Patent and Trademark Office set Andrea Hence Evans on a distinctive path in intellectual property law. Evans spent five years at the office as both a patent examiner and trademark examining attorney.

As a patent examiner, she evaluated electrical and mechanical engineering applications, researching prior art to assess novelty and obviousness under patent law. As a trademark examining attorney, she reviewed design marks, word marks and Madrid applications, analyzing likelihood-of-confusion and descriptiveness issues.

Evans earned her law degree from the George Washington University Law School, where she concentrated in patent, trademark and international comparative patent law.

Vasilios Peros brings three decades of legal, engineering and management experience to the Law Office of Vasilios Peros, PC, which he founded, counseling businesses and individuals. Peros holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Baltimore School of Business, a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Delaware, and a Bachelor of Science in aerospace and ocean engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He practiced at Venable LLP and Thomas & Libowitz, and chaired the Maryland State Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Section.

What is the biggest challenge facing your industry today?

Of course, artificial intelligence is being implemented without fully testing it and resulting in errors and fines on lawyers.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice was: “Go after what you want; they can say no, but they can’t say yes until you ask.”

How do you define success?

Success is doing fulfilling work that makes you happy and enjoying your personal life with family and friends.

Donna Thomas represents a broad range of clients, from publicly traded corporations to individuals, in copyright and trademark matters including clearance, registration, licensing, protection, defense and cease-and-desist response.

Thomas has closed $150 million in deals in under three months. She served as chair of the Intellectual Property Law section of the Maryland State Bar Association and teaches trademark law for the Maryland Bar Association. She co-authors the six-volume treatise “The Law of Advertising and Mass Communications” with Jim Astrachan. Thomas holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized by Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers.
