A football scholarship to the College of William & Mary launched Ryan J. Foran’s academic path, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1995. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Law School in 1998 and later an LL.M. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.

He holds Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating and was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Maryland in 2011 and 2012.
What is the biggest challenge facing your industry today?
The internet and artificial intelligence platforms have created new challenges for all industries. For attorneys representing injury clients, the clients have new resources to review and evaluate their cases. These reviews are not always accurate, which then provides for some unreasonable expectations from our clients. Thereafter, the attorneys must deal with some of the clients and their unreasonable expectations as to the value of their cases.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Always ask many questions when dealing with other people and listen to what they have to say. Many people have different perspectives and life experiences that set us all apart.
How do you define success?
You will be satisfied with the result if you know you have given your best effort in whatever you are doing.
