Tara Mobley is the Chief Executive Officer of Stein Sperling Bennett De Jong Driscoll PC, appointed in July 2025 as the firm’s first CEO. In this role, she partners with firm leadership to advance strategic growth, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability. She is responsible for the firm’s overall business operations, driving profitability, strengthening infrastructure, and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
Tara brings more than two decades of executive leadership in professional services and complex organizational environments. Prior to joining Stein Sperling, she served as Chief Executive Officer of Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett PC, where she was promoted to CEO in 2022. During her tenure, she enhanced operational efficiency, strengthened financial performance, and led firmwide functions including finance, human resources, business development, information systems, facilities, and risk management. Earlier in her career, she served as Vice President of Operations at Crosstree Capital and held leadership roles across banking, manufacturing, technology, and public accounting sectors.
Recognized for building high-performing teams and scalable systems, Tara’s expertise spans financial management, organizational development, recruiting and retention, employee relations, leadership development, and data-driven decision-making. She is known for aligning strategy with execution and creating disciplined structures that enable professionals to perform at their highest level.
A dedicated civic leader, Tara previously served as a governor-appointed member of the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board. Her nonprofit leadership includes service as vice president of Erie DAWN; treasurer and prevention committee board member for the Bradley H. Foulk Children’s Advocacy Center; and board member of the Erie Downtown Partnership. She currently serves as a board member of The Learning Center in Rockville and as a member of the Maryland chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators’ Equity and Inclusion Committee. She was named to The Daily Record’s Top 100 Women in Maryland for 2026. She is also a frequent speaker and panelist, with appearances at Penn State Behrend’s Women in Business Panel and Junior Achievement’s EmpowerHer Summit. She was also featured on iHeart Radio’s CEOs You Should Know podcast.
Tara holds an MBA with a concentration in operations and human resource management and a B.S. in business and organizational management. She also completed executive education in Strategic Management: Competitive and Corporate Strategy at the Wharton School. She currently serves as an Executive in Residence at Penn State University’s Black School of Business.
