Hendler becomes civil mediator

Michael Hendler

Michael G. Hendler, managing member of Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler LLC, has completed the requisite training to become a certified court-designated mediator of civil cases.

Presented by the Maryland State Bar Association, the five-day, 40-hour training covered theories of negotiation and concepts of mediation, as well as listening skills and verbal and non-verbal communication. As part of the overall training, the course included lectures, workshops and mock mediations.

Hendler becomes the third ARD&H member to receive mediation certification, joining former Circuit Court Judge Paul A. Dorf, who mediates family law matters, and David B. Rudow, who mediates civil and business disputes.

Hendler, Dorf and Andrew Radding (who focuses on complex commercial litigation, white collar criminal defense, civil and domestic litigation) have also been trained as arbitrators. Dorf and ARD&H Associate Carol G. Cooper also are certified in collaborative law, another method of resolving divorce cases out of court.
