Holder to announce grant winners in Towson

TOWSON — U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder will be in Towson to announce grants to 13 jurisdictions that are helping to fight intellectual property theft.

Holder will join U.S. Attorney Rod Rosenstein in making the announcement Wednesday at Towson University.

The Justice Department is handing out $2.4 million in grants to help enforce intellectual property laws. Officials plan to display counterfeit goods ranging from batteries to handbags.

One of the grant recipients is in Baltimore County. The grants are going to police departments, prosecutors and other groups.
