Adam Read, AIA and Ryan Behneman, AIA, LEED AP have been promoted to associate with Penza Bailey Architects.
Read joined the firm in 2016 and has been working in the industry for more than 12 years with an interdisciplinary design portfolio including residential, retail, commercial, and institutional work. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from NSCAD University in Halifax, Canada as well as a Bachelor of Environmental Design Studies and Master of Architecture from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Read serves on the 2018 AIA Maryland Board of Directors representing the AIA Baltimore Chapter.
Behneman recently obtained his Maryland Architecture license. Joining the firm in 2013, Behneman’s experience entails a variety of complex project types including religious, community, residential, retail, commercial, and institutional projects. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Masters of Architecture from Savannah College of Art and Design and has been working in the field since 2007. His community volunteerism includes serving as a judge for FIRST Robotics Competition events and a designer for the Neighborhood Design Center West North Avenue Streetscape Masterplan.
