ANNAPOLIS — Gov. Martin O’Malley’s is having his second inauguration.
The ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday in Annapolis.
O’Malley and Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown will be sworn in the state Senate at noon. There will then be an event outside the Maryland State House shortly after the Senate ceremony.
The governor and his wife, Katie O’Malley, will host a receiving line at the governor’s house after the inauguration.
The festivities have been scaled back this year, because of the state’s fiscal condition. O’Malley, a Democrat, is scheduled to release his budget proposal on Friday to address an estimated $1.6 billion shortfall.
