O’Malley’s second inauguration set for Wednesday

ANNAPOLIS — Gov. ‘s is having his second inauguration.

The ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday in .

O’Malley and Lt. Gov. will be sworn in the state Senate at noon. There will then be an event outside the shortly after the Senate ceremony.

The and his wife, , will host a receiving line at the governor’s house after the inauguration.

The festivities have been scaled back this year, because of the state’s fiscal condition. O’Malley, a Democrat, is scheduled to release his budget proposal on Friday to address an estimated $1.6 billion shortfall.
