Trial continues in Bethesda yoga shop killing

ROCKVILLE — A crime scene technician has testified in the murder trial of a woman charged with killing a coworker at a Maryland yoga clothing shop.

Brittany Norwood is charged with first-degree murder in the March 11 death of Jayna Murray inside the Lululemon Athletica shop in Bethesda.

The technician testified Friday about blood at the scene.

Norwood’s lawyer admits his client killed Murray but said it happened during a fight and wasn’t premeditated.

Jurors on Thursday heard from a police detective who interviewed Norwood the morning after Murray died. The detective says she treated Norwood as a victim because Norwood told police that she and Murray had been attacked by two masked men.

A nurse who examined Norwood also testified, saying the woman’s injuries weren’t consistent with the attack she described.
