ABOUT MACK McGEE

Resides in:

Education:

Bachelor of Science in communications from the University of Maryland, College Park.

If you had not chosen your current profession, what profession would you choose and why?

Sports broadcasting. I love the storytelling that goes along with sports now and it would’ve been a blast to be a part of it and hopefully would have attended some really great sporting events. My favorite sports teams are the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles, Maryland Terps basketball and Alabama college football.

Favorite vacation:

We took our 4-year-old and now 3-year-old kids to Disney last fall and it was such a blast to watch them experience everything for the first time and see their reactions to meeting characters and watching the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. We decided to do that with the idea we would line up some parents only trips for 2020, but then the pandemic hit. Since last fall, we are now a party of five and have welcomed our third child to the family.

When I want to relax, I … :

Grab a glass of wine and hang out with my wife and kids in the backyard with the music going. We like country, classic rock, 70s music and Bruce Springsteen.

Favorite book:

“Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us,” by Daniel H. Pink

Favorite quotation:

“Success doesn’t come from pie-in-the sky thinking. It’s the result of consciously doing something each day that will add to your overall excellence.” – Nick Saban, University of Alabama head football coach
