The Fund for Educational Excellence, the Baltimore based nonprofit working to ensure all children in Baltimore City Public Schools experience an effective and equitable education, has elected Abhijeet Bhutra and Michele Hong to its board of directors.
Bhutra is a senior investment adviser with the PNC Asset Management Group. He brings to the board strong leadership and financial management experience, and a belief in the importance of a strong education for all students. As a parent of a toddler in Baltimore, Abhijeet is committed to the work to improve opportunities for all Baltimore students.
Hong is a program manager at the Sayra and Neil Meyerhoff Center for Families, Children and the Courts (CFCC) at the University of Baltimore School of Law. Through her work to support CFCC’s Truancy Court Program, she has become keenly aware of the struggles faced by many Baltimore City Public School students. As a proud parent of two Baltimore City Public School high school students, she is excited to join the Fund for Educational Excellence board to help promote a quality education for all students.
