The SquashWise Center will nearly quadruple the number of students it can accommodate in its youth programs. SquashWise currently has nearly 70 middle- and high-school students participating in its Youth Development Program. The program combines the sport of squash with educational enrichment to help Baltimore City Public School youth succeed in school and in life.

The program includes tutoring, college visits, career speakers, squash coaching and squash competition opportunities. SquashWise alumni boast an on-time high school graduation rate of 100%, with 85% of alumni matriculating to two- and four-year colleges.

The building will also enable SquashWise to further develop its community programs along with its youth programs. They will offer Community Squash Nights, memberships at accessible price points, squash lessons, and tournaments. Currently, community members are encouraged to attend the group’s Community Squash Nights at its interim facility in Remington. They are free to attend, with no-cost equipment available, and are open to all levels of players.
