PGA TOUR Superstore coming to Timonium

PGA TOUR Superstore, a nationwide establishment offering golf equipment, apparel and accessories, plans to open its first Baltimore-area location on July 18 in Timonium, the company announced Wednesday. 

The Baltimore County store at 1910 York Road will span nearly 30,000 square feet and is only minutes from the Maryland State Fairgrounds. The company’s existing Maryland store is located at 5100 Nicholson Lane in the Rockville area.

The site will include a 1,800-square-foot putting green, giving customers a chance to test out putters and practice their short game while offering fun activities for children. Timonium’s PGA store will also feature two STUDIO bays and additional hitting bays that offer professional instruction, swing analysis and club fitting to help golfers find the equipment suited for their game, a release says.

“At our new Timonium location, golfers will find the largest and latest selection of equipment and apparel, supported by knowledgeable Associates and a best-in-class in-store experience,” PGA TOUR Superstore CEO Troy Rice said in a statement. 

“From lessons and club fittings to repairs and state-of-the-art simulators, we look forward to offering golfers of all skill levels our expertise and services to help them enjoy their game more.”

Carrying a wide selection of apparel and footwear for men, women and juniors, the store hopes to appeal to customers and golf enthusiasts with gear that promotes performance and everyday wear.

In addition, the Golf Simulator Showroom features various simulator systems and accessories designed to assist customers in designing the right setup for their home, according to the company. 

Doors open at 9 a.m. on July 18 with thousands of dollars in giveaways, according to a release. 

The PGA TOUR Superstore is hiring team members to join its Timonium location with openings in the instruction, club fitting, club repair, retail sales and logistics departments. 

Besides filing regular applications, applicants are encouraged to attend hiring events on May 27 and 28 at the Residence Inn, located at 45 Schilling Road in Hunt Valley.
