Wagner, who joined as a principal in the firm’s Real Estate and Transactional Finance Practice Group, helps clients structure and negotiate secured and unsecured credit facilities. He works with corporate borrowers, private equity firms, portfolio companies, agent banks, financial institutions and specialty lenders in U.S. and foreign markets on these transactions. He also regularly counsels clients in connection with financial restructuring and insolvency matters, and legal issues related to the purchase and sale of distressed assets and strategic investments in distressed companies.

Wagner has practiced law in New York for 30 years, most recently as a partner in the New York office of an Am Law 100 firm. Friday he moved into Miles & Stockbridge’s new Class A office space at 1185 Avenue of the Americas adjacent to Rockefeller Center.

Since the beginning of the year, Miles & Stockbridge has welcomed public finance and real estate lawyer Melissa Messina and white collar lawyers Warren Allen and Ray McKenzie to the firm.

Wagner began his legal career in Virginia after earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond and his Bachelor of Arts and MBA from the College of William & Mary. He remains very active in the school’s MBA program. He also is active at Villanova University, where he participates in an annual Business and Financial Literacy Module at the law school. He is admitted to the bar in New York and Virginia.
