Scott R. Melamed, MS, MBA., CEO of ProMD Health Inc., has built a thriving medical practice group with a focus on innovation, employee development and community service. Under Melamed’s leadership, ProMD Health has expanded to eight locations in Maryland and 18 nationwide, employing more than 80 individuals.
Melamed’s vision for ProMD Health extends beyond business success. He has implemented programs to support employee growth, including funding education for staff members. “We fund education including NP school for RNs and MBA’s for anyone who can get into Quantic.edu. So far three working mothers have earned their MBAs and two have earned their NP degrees,” Melamed said.
The company’s commitment to serving others is evident through its charitable arm, ProMD Helps, which supports more than 50 charities and volunteer events. Melamed’s leadership philosophy emphasizes understanding and supporting employees at all levels. “Every employee in my organization knows that they can come to any one of us with their issues, goals, desires and accomplishments,” he noted.
Melamed’s background includes roles as a consultant at Accenture LLP and a researcher with the Johns Hopkins Department of Surgery.
Melamed lives by the motto, “If you can help someone, you help them.” This philosophy drives his approach to leadership and community engagement, making him a standout figure in Maryland’s business community.
