Wasserman White Family Law

Laurie Wasserman, owner and managing partner of Wasserman White Family Law, founded the firm in 2018 as a solo practice and has since grown it into a firm of 15 employees, including eight attorneys, and the largest family law firm in Baltimore County. Building the firm required breaking an overwhelming goal into manageable decisions and committing to one thoughtful, strategic choice each day — a mindset that allowed her to establish a sustainable practice grounded in consistency, integrity and long-term vision.
Among her earliest commitments was a promise to her first employee that she would always be paid before Wasserman paid herself. That decision reflected the values she wanted the firm to embody — responsibility, trust and people-first leadership — and established the foundation for a strong, values-driven culture that carried the firm through years of steady, intentional growth and into periods of rapid expansion. Today, Wasserman White Family Law generates multimillion-dollar annual revenue while creating meaningful, long-term career opportunities for its staff.
Beyond the firm, Wasserman is committed to supporting and encouraging the next generation of women attorneys. She meets individually with law students to discuss career paths, early career decisions, confidence and leadership opportunities in family law. She also speaks on law school panels focused on leadership and careers in private practice, addressing professional development, entrepreneurship and work-life integration.
Her mentorship extends to attorneys launching and growing their own firms. She provides guidance on firm formation, practice management and business development, and continues advising those attorneys after launch on sustainable growth strategies. She speaks regularly to state bar associations and other legal organizations on building successful law practices.
