Director of Product and Program Marketing and Innovation
Eighteen years ago, Lisa Goldberg’s best friend became acutely sick. She spent months in and out of hospitals and started losing hope that she’d be able to fulfill her dreams for the future.
But the friend wrote to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a national group that grants wishes to children diagnosed with live-threatening medical conditions. The group sent Goldberg’s friend on a trip to New York Fashion Week, where she met a famous clothing designer. Her spirits lifted, her hope renewed, the friend recovered.
Goldberg never forgot her friend’s experience, and recently, with her business career thriving, began volunteer work with the local Make-A-Wish chapter.
“We are working hard to build a bigger presence in Baltimore so that more local children can benefit from the incredible wishes this organization delivers,” she said.
Goldberg, who earned an MBA from the University of Maryland, brings the same tenacity to her day jobs in business.
“Every manager I have had in my professional career would hire me again,” she said. “In each company, I have made myself a critical part of the leadership team, and my direct manager’s right-hand person.”
Since 2012, she has worked for Medifast, a nutrition and weight-loss company headquartered in Owings Mills. She currently is director of Product and Program Marketing and Innovation.
