Delaware bans ‘Google glasses’ from casinos

The Delaware State Lottery announced that it has amended its rules to prohibit so-called “Google Glasses” and similar webcam-equipped, wearable wireless devices from the Casino at Delaware Park and other state gaming locations.

“Any Delaware Park patron wearing Google glasses or similar devices must remove them or be subject to eviction by Security,” the state lottery agency warned in a statement.

Google is testing a wearable computer, which is not available for sale but which the company said it wants to release by year-end.

New Jersey authorities have given the state’s 12 casinos permission to ban the devices, and certain casinos in Las Vegas have also done so.
