Union, Illinois-based WBE utility specialty contractor Intren opened its East Coast regional office in Baltimore Jan. 17 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Mayor Catherine Pugh and Intren officials commemorated the occasion with leaders from the Maryland Washington Minority Companies Association, Greater Baltimore Black Chamber of Commerce, Business Agents from Operating Engineers 37 and Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 486 and other business and civic leaders.

The facility will assist with demands for Intren’s  services and represents the first regional headquarters for the company on the east coast. The move enables the company to offer its complete range of construction service solutions to new and existing customers throughout the region.
