As founder of a firm consistently ranked among the Top 10 lobbying firms in Maryland, Gregory “Steve” Proctor Jr. runs a highly respected government and private sector advocacy organization.

Proctor and his associates have provided legislative and administrative representation to clients including institutions of higher learning, nonprofit organizations, businesses and local and international governmental bodies on the county, state and federal levels. The firm, founded in 1995, operates four offices in Maryland and Washington.

Proctor has an entrepreneurial spirit and owns and operates several ventures. He also is committed to philanthropy, active with Junior Achievement, The College of Southern Maryland, The Foundation School, the United Way of the National Capital Area, Bowie State University Board of Visitors and Prince George’s Community College.

Proctor attended Towson University and received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from George Washington University. He and his wife reside in Upper Marlboro and have four adult sons.

He serves on leadership positions of professional boards, including the as chair-elect of the executive board at Greater Washington Board of Trade and vice-chairman of the board of directors at Old Line Bank. He is the former chair of The Greater Prince George’s Business Roundtable.
