Sarah R. David is a committed public servant, according to Letam Duson, senior assistant state prosecutor and previous Generation J.D. awardee.
David worked for the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office, managing a general caseload, as well as special assignments to high-profile, complex prosecutions. She served as chief of staff to the judicial proceedings committee chairman in the Maryland State Senate, working on legislation related to criminal, civil, family and other areas of law. In her current role as deputy state prosecutor, she is responsible for overseeing the Office of the State Prosecutor’s strategic partnerships, legislative agenda, budget and corruption and police misconduct cases.
David shows her commitment to the legal profession by serving on the boards of the Women’s Law Center of Maryland and the Maryland State Bar Association Leadership Academy. She has been an active member of the Jewish Volunteer Connection Board for nearly a decade. She is a member of the Second Decade Society, participating in and serving as event leader for women’s networking events for Baltimore-based alumni of Johns Hopkins University and current students.
David is a 2019 Daily Record Maryland’s Leading Women recipient, and she contributed to the Generation J.D. blog for several years.
