Small Door Veterinary plans expansion into Bethesda, several states

Small Door Inc., a tech-enabled, membership-based veterinary care provider that operates under the brand Small Door Veterinary, Wednesday announced plans to expand its network of veterinary practices into Bethesda, Virginia and Illinois while adding additional facilities in existing markets, including New York, Boston and the District of Columbia.

The company expects to open 10 hospitals over the next six quarters, including a practice in Bethesda in 2024. Other hospitals expected to open next year include facilities in McLean and Arlington, Virginia as well as three spots planned for Chicago and two more in New York City.

The additions will bring the company’s portfolio to 19 practices.

To support this anticipated growth, the company also added key additions to its executive team, appointing Dr. Jamie Richardson to chief medical officer, Kristin Hackett to vice president of people and Richard Dandridge as vice president of finance.
