Ed Sparks assumed duties as CEO of W.R. Grace & Co. in April.
Sparks joined the Columbia-based specialty chemicals company after working as president of Titanium Technology and Chemical Solutions, a division of The Chemours Company.
Sparks held a variety of leadership positions within Chemours over the course of his eight years there. Prior to that, Sparks also held a variety of positions over the course of 21 years at DuPont.
Sparks has led multiple organizations through restructuring and has managed accounts worth more than $100 million in responsibility.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Tennessee Technological University and became an APICS certified supply chain professional in 2011, according to the company website.
He’s a past member of the board of directors for the National Association of Manufacturers, the American Coatings Association and the United Way of Southern Chester County.
