Harford Mutual Insurance Group adds 55 employees through acquisition of Clearpath Specialty
Listen to this articleBel Air-based Harford Mutual Insurance Group continues to expand its national footprint after the successful merger of Clearpath Specialty, formerly known as ClearPath Mutual Insurance Company, into its business group.
The acquisition adds 55 employees to Harford Mutual’s portfolio, who will work from its new office in Louisville, Kentucky. The company also has a Southern office in Fort Mill, South Carolina. It now has more than 250 employees.
ClearPath Mutual, a monoline workers’ compensation carrier, was converted to a stock insurer, now operating under the name Clearpath Insurance Company for Harford Mutual.
Over the past five months, Clearpath has begun integrating into Harford Mutual programs and processes with completion expected to take place over the next 18 months into 2025. In 2024, Harford Mutual is looking forward to the gradual expansion of monoline workers’ compensation into the existing states and agencies where it currently writes business.
