The Peninsula development team announced it has signed a retail lease with Blü Cā (blue kay), a new Jamaican restaurant concept by the One Love Restaurant Group. The restaurant is expected to open in early 2026.

Blü Cā will operate 4,600 square feet on the ground floor of Rye House, a 254-unit apartment building.

Blü Cā will immerse guests in an authentic island experience where culture and heritage are infused into every moment. The name Blü Cā combines a reference to the restaurant’s setting on the waterfront (Blü) and low island or reef (Cā), representing its Jamaican heritage.

“It’s not every day that the opportunity arises to work with incredibly talented and experienced restaurateurs to bring a new concept to life. What One Love Restaurant Group is creating with Blü Cā represents all we have ever hoped for Baltimore Peninsula: that our spaces and setting on the water would become a source of inspiration and innovation. I’ll be counting down the days until I can visit,” said MaryAnne Gilmartin, Founder and CEO of MAG Partners.

“We had a vision for what would ultimately become Blü Cā for quite some time now, but when we found the perfect space at Baltimore Peninsula, that’s really when it came together,” said One Love Restaurant Group’s Sandy Tucker. “The restaurant’s waterfront setting will perfectly align with the island vibe and mouthwatering dishes we’ll be serving.”

The announcement of Blu Ca is the latest addition to a lineup of dining options in Baltimore Peninsula. Recent openings include Pinky Cole’s Slutty Vegan and Bar Vegan, Rye Street Tavern by Clyde’s Restaurant Group, and Vessel and Little Wing at ROOST Baltimore by Method Co. Additional dining destinations coming to Baltimore Peninsula include Slurp Noodle Bar, Ben & Jerry’s, Urbano Tex-Mex, Baltimore coffee shop Daily Grind, and Jersey Mike’s.
