As Fire & Risk Alliance LLC prepares to establish itself in , the has purchased three lots in Dorchester Technology Park, the county’s economic development office announced.

A research and development business specializing in fire protection and risk management, Fire & Risk Alliance has conducted research with particular emphasis on battery systems and energy storage solutions.

As it plans to commence business on the , Fire & Risk Alliance’s complex is set to feature a 30,000 square foot state-of-the-art testing laboratory designed to push the boundaries of safety research; an advanced training facility; and an office complex fostering collaboration among industry leaders.

FRA boasts a global customer base across diverse industries, including space exploration companies, battery energy storage systems, power utilities and data infrastructure, among others. 

“Our partners entrust us with the responsibility of delivering exceptional precision and innovation,” the Dorchester County Economic Development office said in a statement.

“Upon completion, Dorchester County will boast one of the largest hood and calorimetry systems in the world, open for commercial use. FRA’s vision extends beyond research; they are committed to creating 300 new jobs over the next decade, spanning from cutting-edge tech roles to skilled trades, fueling local growth and opportunity.”

Over the next decade, FRA is expected to bring 300 jobs to the area as part of the business move, said Susan Banks, director of the Dorchester County Economic Development office.

“The first sale in the Dorchester Regional Technology Park to FRA is a big win for Dorchester County,” Banks said.

“FRA’s commitment to bring 300 jobs over the next decade while offering critical engineering services to the technology sector is the kind of long-term investment and innovation we envisioned in the Tech Park. We sincerely thank Fire & Risk Alliance for choosing Dorchester County as the next step in their growth.”
