Gill serves as President and CEO of the MacKenzie Companies, which comprise MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services LLC, MacKenzie Management Company, LLC, MacKenzie Services Company LLC and MacKenzie Contracting Company LLC. He manages and oversees the corporate operations of all companies.
Gill joined the predecessor company, MacKenzie & Associates, in 1977 and has been instrumental in the direction and growth of the organization. The company has grown from 10 employees to an aggregate employee base of 150. Since joining the company, Gill has been involved in the development, leasing and management of more than 50 commercial projects containing over 3.0 million square feet with an aggregate value of over $400 million, as well as several residential development projects. Gill is also an executive officer of MacKenzie Properties Inc. and MacKenzie Investment Corporation.
His past affiliations include member positions with the Towson University Stadium Committee, Board of Trustees at Calvert Hall College High School, Lax 4 Baltimore Committee for NCAA National Men’s Lacrosse Championship, Baltimore County Economic Advisory Board, University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce Real Estate Advisory Board and Bay National Bank. He served as president of Towson University Tiger Club and chairman of St. Paul’s School Annual Fund Board.
Gill’s awards include the 2018 NAIOP Lifetime Achievement Award and 2009 Towson University Distinguished Alumni Award. He served on the Towson University Board of Visitors from 2005-present, serving as chairman from 2005-2007. He has been on the Camden Yards Sports and Entertainment Committee from 2005-present and was a member of the Board of Governors for US Lacrosse Foundation from 2001-2009. He is also a member of the Towson University Blazer Club.
Gill holds a Bachelor of Science from Towson University.
