What’s the most important thing you do in your job?
The most important thing that I do is give people a sense of grounding so that they can navigate the divorce/litigation process with the least amount of anxiety possible. Once people understand the parameters of what could happen, and what should happen, they generally are able to make better decisions.
What qualities do you need to be a successful family law practitioner?
There are many excellent practitioners in this field and all bring different qualities to the table. Some are excellent with numbers, others are excellent litigators and have attention to detail. I think the universal quality is that they are all hard workers and all dedicated to doing the right thing, for the parties and their children.
Outside of your legal practice, what activities or interests are you passionate about?
I am most passionate about my grandbabies. I have six now, and it is my stress relief to spend time with them. I love spending time with my husband, Jim (who also loves spending time with the grandbabies). We both enjoy getting away and traveling as well.
