Home care services provider expands to Anne Arundel County
Senior Helpers®, a provider of in-home care services for elderly individuals, will be opening a location at Arnold Station, Continental Realty Corp. announced.
The new establishment will be the first Senior Helpers franchise location to serve the greater Anne Arundel County market. According to a release, franchise owner Jim Thomasson signed a lease with CRC – a Baltimore-area commercial real estate and investment company – for 1,254 square feet of space with plans to open in the second quarter of 2026.
Senior Helpers’ in-home care services aim to promote independence while enhancing quality of life. Caregivers assist with daily household tasks, including housekeeping, transportation, meal preparation support, bathing and more.
“Senior Helpers brings an essential and highly valued service to Arnold Station, offering meaningful support to local families and residents,” CRC executive Kristina O’Keefe said.
“Their focus on personalized, high-quality care strengthens the center’s mix and enhances the everyday convenience our community relies on. We are pleased to welcome a tenant whose mission so directly aligns with our commitment to creating accessible, service-oriented environments.”
Along with its primary services, Senior Helpers offers specialized care programs designed for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, Parkinson’s disease, those recovering from surgery and clients requiring end-of-life support, a CRC release says.
Located at 1450 Ritchie Highway, Arnold Station is a 60,165-square-foot shopping center located just outside of Annapolis. The two-story development features restaurants, retailers and office tenants, including McDonald’s, Verizon Wireless, Leslie’s Pool Supplies Service & Repair, Pivot Physical Therapy, School of Rock and Heartland Dental.
“The Arnold Station location will be outfitted with a Center of Excellence, where our support staff will be trained on our best-in-class care protocols, while also serving as our Anne Arundel County base of operations,” Thomasson said.
“We chose the shopping center based on its central location in an area with strong demographics and a robust population.”
