Siemens Corp., the United States entity of Germany-based global technology company Siemens AG, will relocate its Maryland-area operations to a 26,891-square-foot office in after signing a lease with Inc.

St. John Properties, a Baltimore-area firm, made the announcement April 23. Siemens, which focuses on the industry, infrastructure, transport and sectors, plans to move into its new location within a four-story office building at 14400 Sweitzer Lane in June, according to a release.

Roughly 110 Siemens employees will relocate as well as the business plans to use the new facility to house office, collaboration and training space, according to St. John Properties.

“The location is convenient for our employees, we are excited about the building’s sustainability features and elevated design, and we are aware of St. John Properties’ excellent reputation – all important considerations for us, in addition to finding a space that’s exactly the right size for our needs,” said Rickie Golden of Siemens Real Estate Americas.

“We look forward to moving into this new flagship office location in the Greater D.C. area.”

Siemens’ U.S. business division provides digitalization, automation and sustainable infrastructure solutions to specialized vertical markets.

Acquired by St. John Properties in December 2020, 14400 Sweitzer Lane features an outdoor patio, a surface parking lot accommodating 400 vehicles, a fitness center, two-story lobby and more.

“Since acquiring this building, we have signed leases for more than 50,000 square feet, which has been the result of a repositioning strategy we implemented after the purchase,” St. John Properties executive Matt Lenihan said in a release.
