Maryland’s Top 100 Women was founded in 1996 to recognize outstanding achievements and accomplishments by women across many professions in corporate and nonprofit sectors across the state. The 2025 celebration marked the 30th anniversary of the awards program, which has honored about 2,000 women to date.

Honorees were selected by past Top 100 Women and business leaders. Nominees were chosen based on professional and community involvement, corporate and nonprofit board memberships and mentoring experience among other categories reviewed. They were encouraged to submit letters of recommendation from those who are familiar with their accomplishments professionally, in the community and through mentoring.

Eight women will be inducted into the Circle of Excellence, after being named as Top 100 Women for a third and final time.

The 100 honorees are featured in individual profiles offering details on their professional and personal backgrounds.

“For over 30 years, The Daily Record has made it its mission to shine a spotlight on the women who make Maryland extraordinary — and this year’s honorees are nothing short of remarkable,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of BridgeTower Media/The Daily Record. “These are leaders who don’t just climb to the top; they reach back and lift others with them. They mentor, inspire and pave the way for the next generation to dream bigger and reach further. The Daily Record has always believed in celebrating women leaders, long before it was a headline — and we are as proud of that legacy today as ever.”
