Engineers for Md. offshore wind farm open Baltimore office

Mandeville, La.-based Keystone Engineering Inc. has opened an office in Baltimore.

The new office follows the company’s announcement last week that it was awarded a contract to design the meteorological mast tower foundation for US Wind’s Maryland offshore wind development lease.

The Maryland project is the fifth offshore wind foundation design contract for Keystone Engineering in the American offshore wind market. Keystone also designed the foundations for the first offshore wind farm in the United States, which is currently under construction off Rhode Island’s coast.

It was not immediately clear how many people would work in the office or where the office is located. A spokesperson for Keystone Engineering could not be reached for comment.
