More than 200 people gathered Nov. 9 at The BWI Hilton to celebrate The Daily Record’s 2017 Most Admired CEOs as 27 business and nonprofit leaders from across Maryland were recognized for their leadership and professionalism.

“To be a Most Admired CEO means that you have gained the respect and admiration of those around you,” The Daily Record publisher Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, said. “Our honorees this year were nominated by co-workers, community organizations and other leaders, not just for their professional achievements but because they are truly admired by their peers and employees.”

Three honorees were inducted into the Circle of Leadership for receiving recognition three times: Ronald Attman, Acme Paper & Supply; Lisa Rusyniak, Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake Inc.; and Joan Webb Scornaienchi, HC DrugFree.

All winners were chosen based on their leadership and vision, competitiveness and innovation, community leadership and service, financial performance and growth, corporate leadership and board service and nonprofit involvement.
