The University of Maryland School of Nursing and Howard Community College have signed a dual-admission agreement that will allow students to transition easier between the two schools.

Under the agreement, students in Howard Community College’s associate degree in nursing program can have a smooth transition to the School of Nursing’s bachelor of science in nursing program.

Students in the Howard program can apply for admission to the School of Nursing program and receive transfer credits for coursework completed at Howard Community College. They will also be granted special student status so they can take School of Nursing courses while finishing their associate degree.

Howard Community College is the 11th community college in Maryland to sign a dual-admission agreement with the School of Nursing.  The School of Nursing offers its bachelor of science in nursing program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore campus and the Universities at Shady Grove campus.
