Md. Immigration group joins Miles & Stockbridge
Miles & Stockbridge announced Monday that two lawyers and two paralegals from a leading Maryland immigration law firm, Taylor & Ryan, have joined the firm.
Frances O’Connell Taylor, a founding partner of Taylor & Ryan, a Pikesville immigration firm, joined Miles & Stockbridge as a principal in the firm’s growing Immigration Practice Group. Joining Taylor are Tina Goel as a staff attorney and paralegals Judy McArthur and Tara Ostrowski.
Twice named by Best Lawyers as “Lawyer of the Year” in immigration, Taylor has more than 30 years of experience in immigration. Her practice includes preparing and filing business and family-based immigration cases, advice on immigration strategies and policies, and assistance with government audits and investigations, as well as applications for citizenship. While her practice spans a wide range of industries, she has considerable immigration experience in the health care and academic fields.
The expanded group will continue to focus on business immigration and helping U.S. employers transfer, hire and retain foreign talent, including multinational managers and executives and professionals in engineering, technology, financial services and other fields.
They also will continue to advise businesses on I-9 compliance, immigration-related audits and investigations, immigration implications of corporate transactions, and immigration policy development and implementation.
Miles & Stockbridge has 220 lawyers and seven mid-Atlantic offices. The firm’s lawyers help global, national, local and emerging business clients preserve and create value by helping them solve their most challenging problems.
