NanoBioFab

NanoBioFab revolutionizes pathogen detection through -integrated nanosensor technology that delivers rapid, accurate results for clinical infection management. Their smart nanosensor solutions target real-world health care applications across orthopedics, wound care, urology, and pulmonology, serving hospital systems, enterprise partners, and military health care facilities.

The technology transforms pathogen detection from days to minutes through four key advantages: rapid real-time sensing that enables early intervention before symptom escalation; simple operation requiring minimal training with no laboratory requirements; compact design as small as a coin that fits in your palm; and smart AI capabilities that decode complex gas signatures into clear, actionable results.

What inspired you to launch your business?

NanoBioFAB was born from personal loss — our founder’s loved ones passed from cancer complicated by infections due to delayed diagnosis. This tragedy sparked a mission to develop AI-powered nanosensors for real-time infection detection, enabling earlier diagnosis, better treatment, and more compassionate care. We aim to make health care proactive, so others can benefit from the technology that could have saved them.

What challenges have you faced as a new business?

As a new business, we’ve faced challenges in securing early funding, navigating complex regulatory pathways, and gaining clinical validation for a novel diagnostic platform. Educating stakeholders on the value of AI-powered nanosensors and earning trust in a risk-averse industry has required persistence, strong partnerships, and a clear vision. Each challenge has strengthened our resolve to transform infection detection.

What accomplishments are you most proud of?

We’ve secured 23 patents (2 granted), over $8million in government contracts, and formed strategic partnerships with leading health care companies — all centered around our AI-powered nanosensor platform for real-time infection detection. These milestones reflect our team’s innovation, dedication, and progress in revolutionizing clinical diagnostics.

How do you support the larger community?

We support STEM through sponsorships, robotics camps, and internships for high school and college students — over 10 have trained at our company. With our technical and business mentorship, several interns have launched their own startups. We also partner with local schools, clinics, and universities to inspire the next generation and expand access to science and entrepreneurship.

What programs do you have in place to enhance employee morale?

We boost morale through team celebrations, birthdays, baby arrivals, and field trips. Employees get paid parental leave (two weeks for all parents), performance bonuses, and equity options. We promote a flexible, inclusive culture with mentorship, learning, and recognition. Everyone feels valued and part of something meaningful.
