A Clarksburg autonomy and robotic technology company is planning to debut a football-sized transformable drone at an electronics industry trade show.

Robotic Research LLC will show the Pegasus Mini drone at its booth at CES, which is set for Tuesday through Friday in Las Vegas.

The drone can drive on land and fly, and is a smaller version of the Pegasus drone, which was introduced in August.

Alberto Lacaze, president of Robotic Research, said in a news release that the new air and land vehicle can bring cameras and sensors into otherwise unreachable locations.

The company said the transformable drone can be used for inspection, rescue, rapid response, and applications that benefit the oil and gas, public transportation, law enforcement and public safety sectors.
