Appellant Reginald Allen was convicted in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City of attempted first-degree murder, use of a handgun in the commission of a crime of violence, second-degree assault, wearing, carrying, or transporting a handgun, and reckless endangerment.

He presents the following questions for our review: “1. Did the trial court abuse its discretion in admitting into evidence recorded video surveillance footage without proper authentication? 2. Should the conviction for second-degree assault have been merged with the conviction for attempted first-degree murder for purposes of sentencing?”
