Chesapeake Beach-based auctioneers Alexander Historical Auctions will be offering at auction the personal address and telephone book owned by American financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The small, plastic-bound, 64-page book contains 386 individual printed entries, with two handwritten entries penned on the last page. Each entry varies in length from only a few lines to over 10 to 15 lines or more and contains Epstein’s contact’s name, address and telephone number.
The majority of the entries also include contact information for private residences and often numbers for pagers, aides, employees, parents and others. Ninety-four of the names bear black, hand-applied checkmarks, and five have been highlighted in yellow.
The book is initially being offered for sale by sealed bid, with offers being accepted by the auction house from May 15 to June 15. All offers will be treated confidentially. Bidding details appear on the Alexander Historical Auctions website. Should the book fail to attract a satisfactory bid, it will be offered at public auction in mid-July.
