The 13,898-square-foot space is scheduled to open in January 2026, according to a company release. Located at 5825 University Research Court, Suite 2000, Venture X’s new location will be situated within the Greater College Park Discovery District research park. The location will offer 59 private offices for startups, entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Owned by product strategist Moniesha Jackson Shorter, Venture X College Park is the first franchise location in the county, the company said.

“I’m excited to offer this space as our company joins the coworking revolution, which is part of a bigger vision to empower entrepreneurs and turn their dreams into thriving businesses,” Shorter said.

“We’re here for professionals who are talented and driven but often face barriers like limited access to mentorship, networks and affordable infrastructure, all key factors that improve survivability for minority-owned businesses. My goal with Venture X College Park is to create the kind of support system I wish existed when I first became an entrepreneur.”

As general and sales manager of Venture X College Park, Shorter will oversee operations and general revenue growth. The Prince George’s County resident sits on the

Alumni Association Board of Governors.

Venture X College Park will feature two conference rooms, a training room, a cafe that can also serve as an event space, free parking and electric vehicle charging stations.
