Wasserman White Family Law LLC

Martha K. White, partner at Wasserman White Family Law LLC, has dedicated her career to helping clients navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives through family law practice.
White earned a bachelor of science in Business Administration from Clarkson University in 2003 before going on to the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she received her juris doctor in 2006. During law school, she gained practical experience clerking in various positions in Baltimore and served as a Rule 16 student attorney at the University of Baltimore Low Tax Clinic. After completing her degree, she had the honor of clerking for the Honorable Louis A. Becker at the Circuit Court for Howard County. Prior to joining Wasserman White Family Law LLC, she worked as an associate and later partner at a firm in Towson. Her practice spans matters throughout Maryland, including Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Carroll County, Harford County, Howard County and Anne Arundel County, as well as estate planning, probate and trusts.
White chairs the Family Law Committee of the Baltimore County Bar Association and has served as an attorney liaison for the Family Law Division of the Baltimore County Circuit Court since 2018. She is also an active participant in the Maryland State Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Foundation, Serjeants’ Inn Law Club, Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service and Baltimore County Sitting Judges campaigns.
“Leadership in the law means recognizing the broader impact of our work,” White said. “The way we conduct ourselves influences not only our clients, but also our peers, the courts, and the public’s perception of the legal profession.”
Outside of her practice, White makes a point of mentoring students and young professionals considering legal careers, speaking openly about both the rewards and challenges of the profession. She is particularly committed to encouraging young women to pursue careers in the legal field and to believe in their ability to succeed in a demanding and meaningful profession.
Looking ahead, White hopes to take on greater leadership roles within the legal community, whether through professional organizations, mentorship or judicial service. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, Lily and Marshall, and her cat, Michael, along with gardening, painting and traveling.
