Nina Basu is the founder of the Basu Law Firm, LLC and a tireless volunteer and advocate in Howard County.

As a litigator, Basu practices before all state and federal courts in Maryland, handling various types of civil litigation, including commercial, employment, general business and financial services litigation. Prior to forming her own firm in 2012, Basu practiced as an associate for five years at McGuireWoods LLP.

In addition to practicing law, Basu is deeply committed to her community, to social justice and as an advocate for women and girls. Basu is in her second year as chair of the Howard County Commission for Women, created to promote the social, political and economic equality of women.  Basu also serves on numerous boards, commissions and task forces.
