Howard County agency wins SBA award

The Howard County Economic Development Authority is one of 50 winners of the first Growth Accelerator Fund competition sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Howard County Executive Ken Ulman announced. The HCEDA’s Accelerator for the Commercialization of Technology was selected from over 800 applicants competing for $50,000 cash awards from the SBA. The ACT is the only Maryland program to win. Winners were selected by a panel of seven judges who are experts in entrepreneurship, investing and business plans.
