Md. tech startup raises $300,000, lands first customer

, a company in that makes a platform for managing internet-connected devices used in smart transportation and smart bulidings, raised $300,000 in seed funding and secured their first customer.

, the Columbia technology accelerator LaunchPad and local private investors participated in the funding round, which Zuul plans to use to grow its sales capabilities and to expand into the smart buildings and industrial control systems markets.

Zuul’s first customer is described by the company as a global public sector transportation and mobility company. A spokesperson wouldn’t reveal the identity of the customer, but said that it would be announced soon.

Zuul is the first company at to raise capital. The company has worked with MasterPeace since 2016.
